Quince Tree
Quince trees are adaptable and hardy, performing well in all areas of New Zealand. It is a deciduous tree that bears a pome fruit, similar in appearance to a pear, but large, bright golden-yellow and aromatic. The quince has been a popular ingredient since medieval times, and though it was once considered old-fashioned it has recently made a comeback in our kitchens and backyards.
